Ms. Ellefson was admitted to Ignite Medical Resorts KC Northland following a fall that required a stay at Liberty Hospital.
Upon admission Ms. Ellefson was requiring total assist with her transfers and mobility. She needed maximal to total assistance with her activities of daily living and was substantially weaker than her normal baseline.
During her stay at Ignite, Ms. Ellefson worked with physical and occupational therapy. She was able to utilize our Andago robotic gait training device in order to get back up and moving independently without pain. She participated in a home safety assessment with PT/OT prior to discharging to give her and her family peace of mind that she would be successful at home.
Ms. Ellefson discharged home with her family and will continue her journey with home health services. At time of discharge, Ms. Ellefson is completing all of her mobility and activities of daily living independently with use of a walker.
